2025 heralds the launch of my new business venture, Simplitax Consulting. At Simplitax Consulting, the robin represents the transformation I bring to tax solutions - helping clients find clarity and confidence in an ever- changing landscape. After 20 successfull years of being employed in the tax industry, I have decided to spread my wings on a new journey by providing bespoke tax services to my clients.
I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way over the last 20 years. I have led various tax projects including the implementation of SA dividend withholding tax, Interest withholdings tax, FATCA and CRS introduction on the International front, as well as beign heavily involved in financial services and specifically also in the retirement reforms, of which the final phases are only now being tweaked.
I participated in industry working groups created to implement these taxes at a national level, which include providing interpretation and guidance within these working groups that influenced the South African Revenue Service ('SARS") and final National Treasury implementations.
I am a registered tax practitioner, as well as a practicing member of the South African Institute for Chartered Accountants. I have an ardour for continued learning and growth, which I believe is essential in the ever changing and increasingly complex tax arena.
In my spare time, I enjoy music, reading and expressing my creativity in various forms and spending time in nature. I am passionate about giving back to the community, animal wellfare as well as caring for the elderly. In addition to this, I am a vociferous advocate for good and ethical
leadership.
